Ararauna Chawan

A Chawan (Tea Bowl) is made for preparing and drinking matcha and other types of tea in Eastern Asian tea drinking ceremonies. Traditional matcha chawans are deep enough to allow comfortable, M-shaped whisking and are sober, yet elegant.

This is our blue & gold Ararauna Chawan. Named after one of the only living creatures of blue and gold colours, this chawan is one of our personal favourites. Perfectly whiskeable, sufficiently robust and beautifully crafted.
